15 Things I’ve Never Done

As bloggers and people in general we tend to talk about our achievements and things we have done. Correct me if I’m wrong, but it seems much more acceptable to discuss what we have tried rather than what we haven’t. In this post I will be sharing things I haven’t experienced as well as a couple of things I don’t see as negatives for having not done them.

1. Learn to ride a bike without training wheels – I know how to ride a bike with training wheels I just never graduated and got a big girl bike. I was a very small child and my mum worried I wouldn’t be strong enough to hold up and support the bike.

2. Tried avocado – I posted this fact on an Instagram story recently. Lately, it seems people around my age are obsessed with avocado and I’ve just never been interested to try it. Some people like the texture and others don’t so I’m on the fence.

3. Gone paintballing – I bruise like a peach and I don’t want my glasses to get damaged.

4. Worn eyeliner – I have tried believe me, but I cannot apply it to save my life.

5. Been late for work – Being late makes me anxious so I’d rather arrive with plenty of time to spare. It also shows you have a good work ethic.

6. Dyed my hair – I am extremely proud to be part of 2% of the world’s population that has red hair. My shade doesn’t come out of a bottle and so many kind people comment about how lovely the colour is.

7. Watched Game of Thrones – Shows like this aren’t my cup of tea.

8. Fallen over in heels – I don’t wear heels (though when I have I haven’t fallen).

9. Been financially compensated or sent free products for a blog post – This is something I don’t mind at all. I don’t discriminate against those who blog as a job and have received freebies but it’s not for me. I’m not saying I will never go down that route but in the 4 years I’ve been blogging it’s never occurred. I even wrote a whole post about why it’s okay not to get freebies *HERE*.

10. Received a bunch of flowers – Technically I have been given flowers but I’ve never had them purchased for me for a special occasion or as a present.

11. Had a hungover/been drunk – I don’t drink alcohol.

12. Had a holiday – I have visited other parts of NZ but I’ve never been out of the country or even had a short break away in NZ. For lots of families and children growing up they go on annual holidays or trips together but mine never did. I do want to explore and travel as it would be an entirely new experience.

13. Broken a bone – *Touches wood*

14. Liked seafood – I will eat battered fish from a fish and chip shop but that’s it! Prawns, oysters and all the shellfish make me flinch.

15. Donated blood – I have a slight phobia of needles. I am better than I used to be though. Maybe one day I will be brave enough.

Fun post. I like avocado but it needs to be put with something or it’s a little flavourless. I could ride a bike but I haven’t in years so I think I’d be scared🙈 Paintballing isn’t for me so I’ve not been, not watched GoT’s either. I don’t eat seafood or any meat. It seems I’ve not done similar things to you!😊 I do dye my hair obviously, been away and hungover🙈 x

I used to be iffy about avocado but in the past few years, I’ve grown to really like it. I find it very filling. 🙂
I haven’t broken a bone either! I’m so scared to!
I hope you go on a holiday one day – I just love travelling, it’s pretty much my reason to exist!

Hmm something I’ve never done: gotten a tattoo. I’ve been tempted and VERY close to getting one because all my friends were getting them but I just decided to just watch instead. So glad I didn’t, in retrospect!

I wonder if breaking a bone as an adult is more damaging than if you are a kid and it has more time to heal and keep growing.

I’m sure I’ll go on holiday some day lol.

I think watching someone close to you get a tattoo would help make up a lot of people’s minds as to whether they really want one or not 😛

I’ve always liked avocado. It’s so nice on toast! It is a bit of a slimy texture though. The bike thing is more common than you’d think. I know quite a few who’ve grown up and just never really rode a two wheeled bike. I haven’t broken a bone either and hopefully it’ll stay that way haha 😄

Amazing list! I think it’s such a great idea to post things you’ve never done. There are a few things you and I have in common! I’ve never gone paintballing, been late for work or donated blood for the same reasons you listed.

I’ve fallen over in heels before, down a couple of stairs in front of a guy I was interested in at the time! Omg so embarrassing! But also really funny when I think about it because I bounced back oh so quickly! Luckily I didn’t get seriously hurt, just a bruised knee and ego!

I hope you go on Holidays soon! If you could go anywhere right now, where would it be?

I love this post! You should definitely embrace your hair colour! What you said is so true – that you’ll never get a colour like yours in a box. 🙂 I have never dyed my hair either (black) but I have had highlights done before. I sometimes think to dye it but the thought of it never going back to how it was doesn’t really appeal to me.

I have never watched Game of Thrones either! All my friends love it but I am just not bothered enough to follow.

I love avocado! I think it needs to be mixed with something though to truly appreciate it even if it is just on toast. Oh, and ripe enough cos when it’s not quite ripe, the texture is weird, haha.

I love my hair colour and the amount of people who tell me how lovely it is are so kind 🙂

Shows like GOT don’t interest me lol.

I can see how avocado would taste better mixed with something.

I like these types of posts, it’s a great way to learn more about you. I’ve never broken a bone, gone paintballing, dyed my hair or learned how to ride a bike without the training wheels either :). I’ve never learned how to swim.
