Getting Festive: Wrapping Presents

Ready to wrap! With only a week left until the big day, I’m sure most of you have started (or perhaps even finished) your Christmas shopping by now. Wrapping presents is one of my favourite things to do in the world let alone just at Christmas and today meant it was time to break out the festive wrapping paper!

Things you’ll need:

  • Gift (obviously!)
  • Wrapping paper, or a gift bag
  • Scissors
  • Tape
  • Optional extras e.g. tissue paper, ribbon, gift tags

Tip: Invest in a roll of brown paper and craft tape for a minimalist approach or if you want to steer away from normal festive wrap. This allows you to customise each gift with stamps, drawings, images etc. and the craft tape helps add a pop of colour. If you’re a stickler for reusing Christmas paper the craft tape won’t rip it and it is easy to remove.

To get into the festive spirit while wrapping your presents, play some Christmas tunes or put on a Christmas movie, it really does help!

This morning I was listening to Light Up the World by Steps.

Wrapped up ready to go under the tree!

There you have it, my expert wrapping skills on display! I’d love to see a picture of your presents too, feel free to share any you may have. I’ll be sure to combine the ones I get through into a post.
