Mini Beauty Swap

Hi lovelies, throwing in an extra post for you this week!

We all have those products we spend hours trying to find only to discover they can’t be shipped to where we live *sad face*. I have been trawling the internet trying to find two Dainty Doll blushes in the shades My Girl and Billion Dollar Babies. I have been searching for these blushes for a while now and Ulalabeauty have both shades in stock HERE and HERE. Unfortunately they only ship to The UK which is where this post comes in.

I thought with all the kind, British bloggers I’ve met I wonder if any of them would consider doing a little beauty swap. It would make a fun collaboration and obviously whoever I collaborated with would get something out of it as well. I will arrange a small makeup parcel to send to you in return, of similar value to the blushes to keep things fair.

The parcel will consist of:

• Maybelline Eye Studio Colour Explosion Luminzing Eyeshadow in Caffeine Rush
• Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm in Lovesick
• Two BYS* lipsticks of your choice. Select any two shades across the regular lipstick, longwear lipstick and matte lipstick ranges. (I have linked each range for your convenience). If the shade you’d like is not in stock, I will endeavor to find one similar or one I think you will like.

*I recently spoke about BYS in my Fuchsia Face-Off post. Their lipsticks are so smooth and creamy to apply as well as having amazing colour and pigmentation. This would be a great opportunity to get your hands on some of these lipsticks and try them out for yourself.

What You Need To Do:

1. Be a UK resident.
2. Leave a comment on this post letting me know you’re interested or alternatively you can email me at chanelleblogs@gmail.com.
3. Include the TWO lipstick shades you’d like in your comment/email.
4. Select a further TWO shades as backup in case a shade you want isn’t in stock.
5. Give a number ranking to your FOUR lipstick shades. 1 – Most preferred, 4 – Least preferred.

From there we can go over everything and sort out addresses and finer details etc.

Attention British bloggers!

On Saturday I posted about how difficult Dainty Doll lipsticks shades 001 Couture and 002 Saucy Sailor are to find.

I have found a website that sells 001 Couture (they have one left) but they only ship to The UK.

Does anyone want to do me the biggest favour and buy it to forward on to my address? I promise your help will be rewarded, I will pay you for the item and the postage!

PayPal Dispute – Problems with Dainty Doll

Hey everyone, hope you’re well! This post is about an unfortunate experience with make up recently.

I didn’t want it to have to come to this but today I decided to open a dispute with PayPal because the Dainty Doll 001 Couture lipstick I purchased over a month ago still hasn’t arrived!

I purchased the lipstick from Britique.com on 15/09/2014. The website is now ‘down for maintenance’ and at this time no orders are being accepted. I’ve emailed the customer services team three times asking if my order has been shipped but I’ve never had a reply.

On Thursday I got an email asking me to review my buying experience. The company is based in Norway so I had to use Google Translate to help me get the general gist of the email but I can’t review a service when I haven’t got the item I’ve paid for! There was a link further down the email which translated into something along the lines of, ‘if you haven’t yet received your item click here.’ I was then presented with a webpage saying my information had been forwarded on.

As you can imagine I’m pretty disappointed at how everything has played out. I was really looking forward to this lipstick especially since I’ve been using my two other Dainty Doll lipsticks and they are amazing! Since the make up range was discontinued in 2013 these two particular shades of lipstick are very hard to come across. I don’t live in The UK so I can’t try looking in pharmacies or shops which may still sell them either.

Alas, all may not be lost…

I have found another website, Payporte.com, selling 001 Couture and 002 Saucy Sailor. The issue I have with this is they don’t ship to New Zealand. I tweeted them and they said the order could be placed and shipped but they would need my credit card details as they don’t have PayPal. I’ve been a bit hesitant about giving out my credit card details despite reassurance the order can be tracked.

I thought I’d come to you guys and ask for thoughts on what you think I should do. Have you bought from Payporte? Is it safe to give out credit card information via Direct Message on Twitter?

Mark-it Dot Dilemma

Earlier this week I mentioned I bought two sets of Mark-it Dots (original post) from Stickers and Things. Unfortunately this purchase has now fallen through. I received an email this morning saying the shipping would cost a lot more than what I’d already paid and decided not to go through with the order.

I was pretty upset for a few reasons:

1. I made the purchase a week ago so they’ve had plenty of time to get in contact.
2. Nowhere on the website did it have any information about International shipping charges.

The shipping amount Stickers and Things offered isn’t the dearest I have seen but they weigh hardly anything so I don’t see why it’s so expensive.

Mark-it dots are difficult to get a hold of as it is. Most websites that sell them don’t ship to New Zealand or have ridiculous shipping costs.

If anyone knows where I could get some I would really appreciate your help!

(RAK anyone? I’d be happy to pay, I wouldn’t expect someone to do it for nothing).
