My Recent Purchases

I thought it would be fun to do a haul post and show you what I’ve bought recently. I haven’t done a haul post for a while and they are some of my favourites to read and write! I tend to go through phases where I’m good and don’t buy anything for ages then end up buying in a cluster. I’ve got music, makeup and beauty bits to share. Enjoy!

1. Shania Twain – Now (Life’s About To Get Good Package)

Shania has been one of my favourite artists since childhood. Now is Shania’s first studio album in 15 years and to celebrate I ordered one of the special packages available on her website. I chose the Life’s About To Get Good package which contains the deluxe version of Now, t-shirt, journal and pen, poster and a patch set. I love band t-shirts, I always feel inspired when I wear them and I love sharing my musical tastes.

2. Steps – Tears On the Dancefloor (Signed “Lisa” Edition)

Steps released their first album of new material in April 2017 and I have had it on repeat ever since! A Twitter friend has planned to get me a signed copy of the album and post it over. The album is getting a re-release with extra tracks in October and the band are releasing covers signed by each individual member. Lisa has always been my favourite so I ordered a copy signed by her.

3. MAC Studio Finish Concealer in NW10

Whilst I do love Collection’s Lasting Perfection concealer I’ve wanted to branch out and try this concealer from MAC for a little while. All I’ve ever tried from MAC previously are their lipsticks and if the rest of their makeup is as good it’s money well spent. I went in store to get colour matched and it was between W10 and NW10. I went with NW10 as it blended into my skin quicker and I am starting to think my skin tone has neutral tones to it. I hope this lives up to Collection!

4. Rimmel Scandaleyes Lycra Flex Mascara

This is my holy grail mascara! I love the volume and length it gives my lashes and how beautiful and fluttery they look. I like the size of the brush, it’s not overly big but still gets into the corners and coats those lashes too. Bristles rather than a silicone wand work well for me and are my preference when buying mascaras. I normally buy this mascara in Extreme Black but the store I was in only had Black.

5. The Body Shop Strawberry Body Butter 50ml

Strawberry is the range from The Body Shop I have tried the most from. It’s a popular line and I’ve heard good things about this body butter – I hadn’t tried it but I always wanted to. The 50ml travel sizes are cheaper compared to a couple of years ago and I love being able to take one to my boyfriend’s. I’ve got a few uses of my Shea one left but I will be starting this straight after.

6. The Body Shop Moringa EDT 30ml

I am extremely close to finishing up my Strawberry EDT and wanted to pick up a back up. I also like to take these when I stay with my boyfriend as the bottles are travel friendly and fit perfectly in my handbag. I wanted something spring-y and the floral Moringa scent hit the spot. The floral scent is light and feminine.

7. Juicy Couture – Juicy Couture 100ml

This fragrance is the original one by Juicy Couture and was first introduced in 2006. Out of the three Juicy Couture perfumes I purchased this is the strongest and the least sweet. I hadn’t smelt this scent prior to buying it and when I first sprayed the perfume I found it very strong. I did do the first spray on my wrist and it does smell better on the neck. It’s different to my other perfumes and I like that. Viva la Juicy is still my favourite but Juicy Couture is a nice everyday perfume if you’re wanting one that lasts and something bold.

“Juicy Couture begins with sweet fruit notes of watermelon, mandarin, and passion fruit over a floral bouquet of gardenia, hyacinth, marigold, lily, and tuberose. Juicy Couture finishes on warm, sweet base notes of caramel, crème brulee, vanilla, patchouli and woods.”

8. Juicy Couture – Viva la Juicy 100ml

I purchased my first bottle of Viva la Juicy in 2015. I was nearly out and wanted to repurchase so I hopped online to see where I could find the perfume for a good price. I discovered I could get three 100ml perfumes for the price of one 100ml Viva la Juicy in store! I class Viva la Juicy as my signature scent, I love wearing it and it is my favourite perfume. It is the only fragrance I’ve ever repurchased which says a lot.

“Viva la Juicy opens with notes of wild berries and juicy mandarin. The heart encompasses a floral blend of honeysuckle, gardenia and jasmine, while the base notes await us with a gourmet rhapsody of amber, caramel, vanilla, sandalwood and pralines.”

9. Juicy Couture – I Love Juicy Couture 100ml

I purchased this bottle of perfume after Rachael mentioned it in the comments of my Fragrance Collection post. This perfume is quite a recent addition to the Juicy line, released in 2016. I tested this in store before I made the perfume order and instantly loved it. It’s a little lighter than the previous two but it’s lovely and fresh and will be nice for spring/summer. The bottle is stunning, especially the leopard printed glass. I’m very thankful to Rachael for letting me know about this!

“This fruity and vanilla oriental scent will have every Juicy Couture girl radiating confidence. The fragrance opens with an irresistible combination of taffy apple, lively red currant and sparkling mandarin. The heart is bright with beautiful jasmine petals and pink honeysuckle. It finishes with smooth, addictive notes of patchouli and captive musks.”

All three perfumes contain some of the same notes but they all smell different. The quality and lasting power of each is spectacular!

Summer Lipstick Picks

summer-lipstick-picks

Here in New Zealand it’s the final month of Spring meaning that next month it will be Summer. I’m not the biggest fan of Summer and the heat but one thing that is sure to keep a smile on my face during the warmer weather is my love for lip products. Back in May I did a similar post, Winter Lipstick Picks, where I showcased my favourite shades for the cooler months. I’ve got a handful of Summer favourites to show you and I’ve broken them down into categories. Enjoy!

The Nude: Patisserie – MAC

Patisserie was the second MAC lipstick I ever purchased and it is a shade I have talked about quite a bit on the blog. It is definitely up there with Syrup as my most worn MAC lipstick. The pinky, terracotta tones make Patisserie a lovely shade for Summer – it adds a wash of colour to the lips and looks especially lovely paired with shimmery eyes. Patisserie is one of those lipsticks that is wearable all year round and can be worn day or night.

The Peach: Peach Parfait – Revlon

Peach Parfait is one of the most recent additions to my makeup collection and I can see it becoming a favourite over the next few months. Peach Parfait is more of a pink-toned peach rather than an orange-toned peach (e.g. Revved by MAC which was also nearly included in this post). This lip butter contains shimmer but so far I haven’t experienced any grit when applying or wearing it. The application is very smooth, like butter, and the formula is moisturising.

The Gloss: I Found Nemo – Tanya Burr Cosmetics

Since purchasing three of Tanya’s lipglosses on Feel Unique I haven’t stopped loving them! I wear all of them regularly and they are so comfortable on the lips and have really good pigment. I Found Nemo is a gorgeous coral colour and screams Summer to me. The name is adorable and makes me think of the sea and swimming which I also associate with Summer.

The Bright: Fuchsia Surprise – BYS

I will keep this brief because I literally wear and talk about this lipstick ALL THE TIME. I feel like fuchsia is my colour and something just clicks when I wear this lipstick. It is my absolute favourite of all the lip products I own and I never get sick of wearing it. This is another shade I wear all year round and bright hot pinks pair so well with Summer.

The Red: fire & Ice – Revlon

I had to include a red somewhere! Red lipstick is one thing that is an essential for any woman and since I started blogging I have added a few reds to my collection and come to learn the types of reds I like and that suit me. For the warmer weather I have opted for an absolute classic from Revlon; Fire & Ice. This shade has been around for over 50 years and is the perfect mix of warm and cool red – think fire engine red meets tomato red. It’s got a little bit of orange to the red and fits well with the other coral/peach shades in this post.

The Beauty Blogger Tag 2

The Beauty Blogger Tag 2A couple of weeks ago I was nominated for this award by Dannii from A Beautiful Thing. I am ever so grateful to be nominated and to Dannii for thinking of me. Make sure you go over and follow Dannii if you’re not already because she is super lovely!

The Rules:

  • Tag the blogger that nominated you.
  • Answer the questions you were given.
  • Nominate 5-10 bloggers whose blog is about beauty/lifestyle/fashion.
  • Write 10 questions for your nominees to answer.

Dannii’s Questions:

1. What is your favourite nail polish at the moment? (Brand and shade).

I like to paint my nails regularly but I haven’t done so for a week or two now. I will go with Bubblebath by OPI as I have worn that a lot lately.

2. What is your favourite eyeshadow palette?

‘The Nudes’ by Maybelline.

3. If you could only use three makeup items, what would they be?

Concealer, mascara and lipstick.

4. What makeup or beauty release are you most excited about?

I don’t think I’ve been excited for anything since MAC announced their collaboration with Ellie Goulding. New Zealand doesn’t end up getting lots of beauty releases or gets them after everyone else.

5. Your favourite YouTuber?

I have two: Lily Pebbles and Marcus Butler.

6. Where in the world would you like to live, if you could choose anywhere?

I say this so much, England! If I couldn’t live in England, I would happily stay in New Zealand though, it’s pretty cool!

7. What are you most looking forward to this month? (Can be a holiday, beauty, anything).

The shortest day of the year because it’s a work day 😛 I am also excited about my first blog giveaway which launched last week. I had been planning one for a while and it seemed right to doing one to celebrate two years of blogging.

8. What beauty products have you recently found disappointing?

  • Garnier Micellar Water – I loved this when I first got it but I have always been on the fence ever since. It removes makeup fine but I don’t find it the most beneficial for my skin. Maybe that’s down to the six month expiry, I’ve had my bottle for more than a year and am just over half way through. I’m convinced the other bloggers who use up one of these every few months drink it.
  • Simple Kind To Skin Moisturising Facial Wash – I got this back in January and have only used it a handful of times. I found it didn’t do much for my skin and I just don’t reach for this product. Unfortunately, I think this will be going in the bin.

9. Favourite song at the moment?

Justin Timberlake – Can’t Stop the Feeling. This song is so happy and full of good vibes. It makes me want to smile and dance around.

10. What one beauty or makeup item would you recommend?

Max Factor’s Excess Shimmer eyeshadow pot in the shade Copper. I have not stopped using this since I purchased it and it is a shade which I think will suit almost everybody. It’s not too shimmery for an everyday eye look and it’s so easy to wear. Normally I swipe this across my eyelids with my ring finger and I’m done. It also looks nice layered over top of brown/taupe eyeshadows (particularly from ‘The Nudes’ by Maybelline) to create a more intense look.

I know the rules say to nominate 5-10 bloggers but I’m going to be lazy and leave this tag open to anyone who would like to do it or anyone who hasn’t done it before. I’d like you to answer the same questions I did and be sure to leave me a comment if you do this tag!

Feel Unique & Makeup Revolution Haul

Feel Unique & Makeup Revolution HaulHello and happy Friday! At the beginning of May I placed two online orders, one on Feel Unique and the other on Makeup Revolution. I’d heard so many good things about Makeup Revolution and it was only a matter of time before I placed an order. I kept adding things to my cart and taking them out but I finally settled on a few bits to buy. It was my first time ordering from each site and I want to commend both Feel Unique and Makeup Revolution on their efficient dispatch and particularly Feel Unique on their prompt delivery. My Makeup Revolution order took a lot longer to arrive and finally arrived on Wednesday. Thankfully, nothing was damaged or missing.

Kicking off with Feel Unique…

Feel Unique Items1. Zoella Beauty Tutti Fruity Beauty Pouch | £3.00

I’ve known about Zoella’s beauty range for a while and I’ve started getting into her videos and become a recent subscriber to her YouTube channel. I was browsing Feel Unique and literally stumbled across this wee beauty pouch. I loved the makeup illustrations on the pouch and the light pink colour with pink polka dots. This pouch is pretty versatile too, you could use it for cosmetics or a coin purse as suggested on the tag or you could use it to keep receipts in, as a pencil case or in your handbag as a divider.

2. Tanya Burr Lip Glosses | £9.97 (3 For 2 Offer)

When I was browsing Feel Unique I wanted to look at brands and makeup you can’t buy in New Zealand and Tanya Burr’s is one of those. I’ve heard a lot of praise for her lipglosses in particular and I wanted to try them out for myself! There was a 3 For 2 offer on so I selected the shades, Picnic In the Park (a vivid pink), Afternoon Tea (a light pink) and I Found Nemo (coral). The shade names are super cute! I’ve tried all of the glosses on my lips and the pigmentation and wear time is excellent. The formula has a lovely watermelon scent and doesn’t feel horrible and sticky. The applicator applies the glosses nicely and is a nice size as well. The packaging is beautiful and makes the product look more expensive than it is.

I’ve swatched all three shades and included an image of me wearing each one.

Tanya Burr Lipgloss SwatchesLeft To Right: I Found Nemo, Afternoon Tea and Picnic In the Park.

Wearing Tanya Burr LipglossesTop To Bottom: I Found Nemo, Afternoon Tea and Picnic In the Park.

Now onto Makeup Revolution:

Makeup Revolution Items1. I ♡ Makeup Goddess of Love Highlighter | £4.99

I haven’t tried any highlighters before and I couldn’t go past how gorgeous the I ♡ Makeup ones looked. The packaging is adorable and again makes the product look more expensive than it is. Goddess of Love is a gorgeous shimmery pink/silver. The highlight can be applied lightly for a more subtle look or with a more heavy hand for a night out, special occasion etc. I wore this highlighter for the first time yesterday and it looks very natural on my skin and adds the loveliest glow.

2. Iconic 1 Eyeshadow Palette | £4.00

If you can’t buy the actual Naked palettes by Urban Decay you buy a dupe right? This palette is full of gorgeous warm tones and contains a mixture of pearls, shimmers and mattes. One thing that has always intrigued me about the original Naked palette is the blue/grey shade right on the end. It seems like such an unusual colour and I can’t wait to use it. I also don’t think I’ve seen or read a bad review about this Makeup Revolution palette.

3. Iconic 2 Eyeshadow Palette | £4.00

I had only intended to purchase one of the Iconic palettes but ended up adding the Iconic 2 to my cart as well after reading this post of Karen’s. The swatches and look Karen came up with convinced me I needed this palette big time! There seem to be quite a few shimmer shades in this palette which I don’t actually own a lot of already and I am fond of a bit of shimmer! This palette reminds me of Maybelline’s ‘The Nudes’ which I love, but the Iconic 2 looks like it has more shimmer shades giving it a point of difference.

4. Ultra Face Base Primer | £5.00

I bet you were expecting to see the Iconic 3 next and while I did consider it, my W7 dupe will have to do for now! I recently finished up my Rimmel Fix & Perfect Pro primer and I haven’t seen that available anywhere for a while so I settled on this one as an alternative. The primer comes housed in a cute, pink tube and contains 25ml of product. The primer itself is clear so I know it won’t alter how my foundation looks and it looks more of a thicker texture than the Rimmel one I was using. It will be interesting to see how both primers compare.

Total (Feel Unique + Makeup Revolution) = £30.96

Overall, I am extremely impressed with the quality of everything and I am so pleased with my choices! Let me know your thoughts if you have tried any of these items.

P.S. I also ordered a few extra items not shown here which I purchased for a blog giveaway coming next week. Keep your eyes peeled for that!

7 Deadly Sins of Beauty Tag

Seven Deadly Sins of Beauty TagHappy Friday lovelies! In the two years I’ve been blogging I’ve seen this tag around a lot and I’ve never done it so I thought it was about time I changed that! I saw this tag on Claire’s blog recently and loved the concept and the sound of the questions. Let’s get started!

GREED: What is your most inexpensive beauty item?

I think it must be a white/purple iridescent nail polish I bought a few years back for $2. For the price, it’s a decent polish – not the worst I own by a long shot.

WRATH: What beauty products do you have a love/hate relationship with?

  • Partly foundation because I’m so pale. Every brand needs to come out with a Fair Ivory shade à la Rimmel’s Match Perfection.
  • My Maybelline Colour Tattoo in the shade Inked In Pink (also known as Pink Gold in The UK). Don’t get me wrong, the colour is beautiful in the pot but I feel it doesn’t translate the same way on my eyelids. The formula isn’t as creamy as everyone talks about, I don’t know whether I got a bad one that has dried up but I don’t reach for it as often as I would like.

GLUTTONY: What are your most delicious beauty products?

The hand cream I’m using at the moment smells like bubblegum. (It’s the Pomegranate Hand & Nail Cream by Olive in case you’re wondering). *LINK*

SLOTH: What beauty product do you neglect due to laziness?

Easy – eyeliner! Times are a changing though, I purchased a dark brown eyeliner from Rimmel a few weeks ago and I’m determined to master how to use it. I’ve used it once so far… It did turn out pretty well though.

PRIDE: What beauty product gives you the most confidence?

Lipstick fo’ sure! In my opinion you can never go wrong with a bold lip! I joke frequently that I should be a lip model because I seem to suit every colour and lipstick always lasts forever on my lips. A close second would be mascara, my bottom lashes are particularly light (almost blonde) and mascara really opens up my eyes.

LUST: What attributes do you find most attractive in the opposite sex?

Arms/hands, to me they signify strength and protection which signifies masculinity. My hands are small and I love the thought of someone holding my hand, I’m kind of cute and soppy like that. Thoughtfulness also goes a long way.

ENVY: What items would you most like to receive as a gift?

I’d like to try the Urban Decay palettes to see if they’re as good as everyone makes out because I don’t think you can buy them in New Zealand.

That’s all the questions, hope you enjoyed this post and thanks for reading! If you decide to do this tag, leave a link to your post in the comments so I can check it out!

Day To Night Makeup

Day and Night MakeupHi lovelies! 99.9% of the time I apply my makeup for the day and that’s it. Last Friday though, there was a work dinner and I knew I wouldn’t have time to do my whole face again so I had to be crafty with my makeup. I think my makeup transitioned really well and everything worked out exactly how I wanted it to.

Friday’s Face

Day and Night Makeup ProductsDay Products:

  • Maybelline Fit Me Concealer – 15 Fair
  • Max Factor Lasting Performance – 101 Ivory Biege
  • Australis Concealer Stick – Light
  • The Body Shop Honey Bronzer – 01 Light Matte
  • Maybelline ‘The Nudes’ Palette (I applied the first three shades of the top row all over my lids).
  • Rimmel ScandalEyes Lycra Flex Mascara – Black
  • Dainty Doll Powder Blush 004 – You Are My Sunshine
  • Rimmel Professional Eyebrow Pencil – Hazel
  • Rimmel Oh My Gloss! – #150 Glossaholic

Night Products:

  • Maybelline ‘The Nudes’ Palette (The second shade from the left on the bottom row was applied all over the lids to darken things up).
  • Max Factor Excess Shimmer – 20 Copper
  • Rimmel ScandalEyes Lycra Flex Mascara – Black
  • Dainty Doll Wonderbalm
  • MAC – All Fired Up

Max Factor’s Excess Shimmer eyeshadow really helped brighten and illuminate my eyes and the third coat of mascara really took the look from day to night. It made my eyes stand out and look more dramatic. My eyes still looked quite natural which is why I decided to make a statement with a bold lip!

Let me know how you take your makeup from day to night and if you have a preference, which you prefer!

Mini Beauty Swap

Mini Beauty SwapHi lovelies, throwing in an extra post for you this week!

We all have those products we spend hours trying to find only to discover they can’t be shipped to where we live *sad face*. I have been trawling the internet trying to find two Dainty Doll blushes in the shades My Girl and Billion Dollar Babies. I have been searching for these blushes for a while now and Ulalabeauty have both shades in stock HERE and HERE. Unfortunately they only ship to The UK which is where this post comes in.

I thought with all the kind, British bloggers I’ve met I wonder if any of them would consider doing a little beauty swap. It would make a fun collaboration and obviously whoever I collaborated with would get something out of it as well. I will arrange a small makeup parcel to send to you in return, of similar value to the blushes to keep things fair.

The parcel will consist of:

  • Maybelline Eye Studio Colour Explosion Luminzing Eyeshadow in Caffeine Rush
  • Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm in Lovesick
  • Two BYS* lipsticks of your choice. Select any two shades across the regular lipstick, longwear lipstick and matte lipstick ranges. (I have linked each range for your convenience). If the shade you’d like is not in stock, I will endeavor to find one similar or one I think you will like.

*I recently spoke about BYS in my Fuchsia Face-Off post. Their lipsticks are so smooth and creamy to apply as well as having amazing colour and pigmentation. This would be a great opportunity to get your hands on some of these lipsticks and try them out for yourself.

If you’d like to take part in this beauty swap that would absolutely make my day!

What You Need To Do:

  1. Be a UK resident.
  2. Leave a comment on this post letting me know you’re interested or alternatively you can email me at chanelleblogs@gmail.com.
  3. Include the TWO lipstick shades you’d like in your comment/email.
  4. Select a further TWO shades as backup in case a shade you want isn’t in stock.
  5. Give a number ranking to your FOUR lipstick shades. 1 – Most preferred, 4 – Least preferred.

From there we can go over everything and sort out addresses and finer details etc.

Big love,

Recent Buys: Beauty & Homeware

Recent Buys Beauty & homewareHi everyone! Hope you had a fab weekend! I have purchased a few bits and bobs recently and wanted to share them with you. I enjoy doing these sorts of posts and hope you enjoy reading them. Being a beauty fanatic I couldn’t resist adding to my lipstick and nail polish collections, especially the latter as it’s been months since I last purchased a new shade for my nails. I also picked up a new candle and can’t wait to burn it!

1. Essie – Take It Outside & Essie – Ladylike

I’ve always wanted to try Essie nail polish and I finally took the plunge and purchased two this month: Take It Outside (a punchy, fresh taupe) and Ladylike (an elegant soft mauve). Both are neutral shades and lovely for springtime as well as being appropriate for work, especially now we have a uniform. I have only worn Take It Outside so far but I was super impressed with the formula. The brush is the perfect size, you get a nice, even coat and the polish is opaque in two coats. Take It Outside lasted almost a week before any chips started to appear. I’m looking forward to trying out Ladylike and I’ll report back once I have.

2. MAC – Blankety

Cat from My Lip Addiction recommended I try this shade. At first I was apprehensive because I thought it was too nude and I’m pale (pale girls FTW!). In the MAC store I swatched Blankety and fell in love so thank you Cat for your recommendation! I thought the swatch looked similar to Patisserie minus the flecks of glitter but there is a difference. Blankety has an Amplified Creme finish meaning it’s meant to be creamy, pigmented and glossy. I don’t find Blankety to be glossy but I don’t think that’s a bad thing. I haven’t tried any other Amplified Creme lipsticks so I can’t compare them, but maybe Blankety’s an exception to the glossy rule? Overall, a lovely nude shade and I’m very happy with my purchase.

3. MAC – Sunny Seoul

Funny story about this wee lipstick; when I was deciding which shade to purchase for my first ever MAC this was one of the shades I loved when I was internet swatching. I already had a few other pinks and opted for something different in the end (Syrup). I’ve always loved the slight shimmer to this shade and I think that’s down to the Cremesheen Pearl finish. This formula is nice and creamy. Out of the two lipsticks, I slightly prefer the feel of Sunny Seoul but both shades are truly lovely. Sunny Seoul screams summer to me as it has hints of coral and melon. I absolutely love my pinks, each one I have is different and they all get a decent amount of wear.

Lipstick swatches

Left to Right: Blankety, Sunny Seoul.

4. Orange Sherbet Candle

Recently at work we got some new products in: an array of soaps, body lotions and potions and gorgeous candles in a few different scents. As I unpacked them I took a whiff and was drawn to the Orange Sherbet scent straight away. The candle comes in it’s own jar and has a lid so if the scent gets overpowering you can pop it on and don’t have to worry about the scent filling the room if you don’t want it to. The sticker on the front says it has a 50 hour burn time which is decent as the jar is quite big and the candle pretty much fills the jar. No doubt this will smell just as yummy burning as when it’s not lit!

So there you have it, what I’ve treated myself to lately. What was the last thing you treated yourself to?

The Beauty Blogger Award

The Beauty Blogger AwardHi everyone! The gorgeous Claire nominated me for The Beauty Blogger Award last week and today I will be answering the questions she set for me. I was nominated for this award a few months ago – click here if you’d like to read that post as well, after you’ve read this one of course!

The Rules:

  1. State the name of the blogger that nominated you.
  2. Answer the questions you were given.
  3. Nominate 10 people whose blog is about beauty or fashion.
  4. Make 10 questions for your nominees to answer.
  5. Let the bloggers know that you nominated them.

My Questions:

1. What’s your number one holy grail high street or ‘drugstore’ product?

Starting off difficult haha. I will say my MAC lipstick in Syrup – I use this on days when I don’t know what to put on my lips and it never fails to disappoint. It has had so much use compared to other lipsticks I’ve had for longer. I can definitely see myself repurchasing this when it runs out.

2. Which product is currently on the top of your wishlist?

Maybelline’s The Nudes eyeshadow palette or some of the Real Techniques makeup brushes.

3. How long have you been blogging for?

1 year and 4 months, I started blogging in June 2014.

4. What’s your favourite item of clothing for the cooler months?

A scarf: helps keep you warm and is light enough and easy enough to pop in your bag.

5. What inspired you to start your blog?

I had finished my Communications course 6 months earlier and was looking for a job. I started my blog as a way to fill up my free time.

6. The favourite part of your makeup routine?

Lips!

7. What’s your favourite brand of makeup?

I’ll go with Rimmel. I’ve used quite a number of Rimmel products as well as owning quite a few and I’ve never been disappointed. The prices are reasonable and not too expensive like other drugstore brands in New Zealand can be.

8. What’s one product you think everyone should own?

A good moisturiser. It’s important to find one that works for your skin type.

9. What is your favourite skin care product that you feel has made the most difference in your skin?

Recently I purchased a face mask from Natio and it is working wonders. It helps to tighten pores and make them less visible as well as combating redness and making skin soft and smooth. Since I’ve had the face mask, I don’t think I’ve had a spot.

10. If you could have any celebrities hair, whose would it be?

Call this arrogant but I don’t think I’d swap my hair for a celebrity’s. The colour of my hair doesn’t come out of a bottle and is one of my favourite things about myself.

I won’t be nominating 10 particular bloggers to accept the award but I nominate everyone who hasn’t done it and wants to give it a go. If you decide to accept, I’d love to see you answer the same questions I did.

Thanks again Claire! ❤
