Taking a Break…

taking-a-break

Hi everyone!

First, let me apologise for no ‘proper’ post today. I’m sure you can already guess from the title what this post will be about. Since August, the past three months have been absolutely crazy and I’ve had so much going on – in a good way. I don’t feel like my blog or my posts have suffered but I’m someone who always likes to put everything into whatever they do and I don’t want to write posts if they don’t excite me or I don’t feel like what I’m sharing is relevant. Rather than write something I’m not happy with I’d prefer to have a short break and come back feeling refreshed with new ideas.

When I plan my posts for the month, the dates tend to fill up pretty quickly. I do re-evaluate throughout the month and move things slightly if needed but there are a couple of October dates that I didn’t have anything planned for. Technically today, (Friday the 21st) was one of those days but you’re getting a post to explain the break. I post Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays but next Wednesday, October 26 there won’t be a post. I will still be publishing my Project Pan posts for the two remaining Mondays in the month and my October Favourites will be posted on the 28th. Really, you’re only missing one post!

Be sure to catch up on this week’s posts if you haven’t already:

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and I’ll see you next week!

Quick Catch Up

First off, let me apologise for not having a proper blog post for you today! I had a few options to run with but I didn’t want them to be half-hearted so I’ve put them off until next week. Today, I want to address a few things and let you know what I’ve been up to this crazy, busy week!

As some of you might know, on Sunday I flew up to stay with my brother for a few days and it was my first ever time flying by myself. I wasn’t scared to do it at all and I’m really proud of myself because a couple of years ago, I never would have done that. The flight is only 40 minutes so it was nice and quick and it made sense for me to fly up because I couldn’t drive and flying is so much quicker than driving. My brother took some time off work and the main reason I flew up was to go and see Alan Carr live. I’m so glad I went, Alan was hilarious and he was also my first comedy show.

Everyday we did something different and it was nice to explore and just wander around as we pleased. I also got to go on a train for the first time which was a lot of fun and I definitely reached my quota of 10,000 steps a day with all the walking we did! I did some shopping, not a lot because I wanted everything to fit in my suitcase and you will be able to see what I bought next week. It was good to get away for a few days and I’m looking forward to it again when I go up for the Ellie Goulding concert in October.

I’m sorry I wasn’t as active at reading posts and commenting as I usually am but I didn’t want to have my head buried in my phone all the time. I wanted to experience things and just take time out from technology. I will have a busy weekend getting up to speed and organising next week’s posts no doubt!

Some more exciting news is that I now have a part-time job. It’s not as many hours as I worked before but who knows where it could lead to and it’s good to be out there meeting people and getting experience. I’ve got something new to focus on and everyone I’ve met seems really lovely. I had my first day on Thursday (yesterday).

I hope you’ve all had a lovely week and I hope you enjoy your weekend!
