Body Shop Haulin’

Body Shop Haulin'Happy Friday lovelies! It’s the end of another week and today I’ve got a small Body Shop haul to share. As you know, I’ve become a huge fan of The Body Shop this year (why wasn’t I one before?) and I must look at their website at least once a week. I love going in store to smell everything and try out the testers, you always smell DELICIOUS when you walk out. Sit back, get comfy and enjoy the haul!

It’s almost two weeks since my Body Shop haul and I had my previous posts planned out hence the reason I’m only getting round to sharing what I bought with you now. The haul two Sundays ago was semi-spontaneous but I wanted to take advantage of an offer on the hand cream. I received a VIP email offering 20% off when I purchased two or 30% off if I purchased three. The hardest part was deciding which scents to choose!

Body Shop ProductsWhat I picked up:

1. Shea Hand Cream

Product Description:

“This caring Shea daily hand cream helps soften and protect hands with light, nutty moisture. The instantly absorbing formula is ideal for on-the-go hydration.”

Subconsciously I knew I would opt for Shea as it is my favourite of The Body Shop’s scents and smells absolutely divine! I wanted to pick up this one to keep in my handbag and take to work as sometimes my hands get dry from handling the cardboard and frequent hand washing. I’m a little disappointed this hand cream doesn’t come in the larger 100ml size, I imagine it’s going to be one I repurchase.

2. Almond Hand & Nail Cream

Product Description:

“This effective daily hand cream cares for nails as well as hands and contains two manicurist’s essentials: sweet almond oil and panthenol.”

I was torn when it came to choosing a second scent but I picked Almond as I was intrigued by the ‘Hand & Nail’ part. My nails don’t break easily nor are they brittle but I do find that my nails and the skin around them can get a tad dry. It’ll be interesting to compare this with the Shea and see if there are any differences. What I didn’t realise is how small the tubes of hand cream seem to be, the Almond has the same amount as the Shea but the tube is slightly longer. Never having used The Body Shop hand cream before, appearances may be deceiving and I might get more out of it than I think. I’ve noticed I don’t need to apply a lot to get good coverage. It spreads and soaks in easily and lasts for a good few hours.

3. Shea Body Whip

Product Description:

“With a subtle nutty scent, this light and fluffy quick-absorbing whipped cream format, with rich, velvety and non-greasy ingredients, smoothes easily over the skin, leaving it feeling well moisturised, soft and supple.”

This body whip is actually a re-purchase of the product I picked up in April when I reacted to a shower cream and exchanged it. (Read all about that incident here). I cannot rave enough about this stuff, it is blimmin’ amazing! I apply it to my arms everyday before I get dressed and over the past few months I have noticed a real difference. The skin on my upper arms is much more supple and the little bumps of skin I used to have are practically gone. The best part about this body whip is how quickly it soaks into the skin, you’re not left standing waiting to get dressed. Some people comment on how they think The Body Shop is expensive but I the price for this product is totally justifiable. One bottle has lasted me four months (I haven’t finished it yet) which averages $6 a month, that’s $1.50 a week.

The day of this haul I ended up saving around $15. I received 20% off for purchasing two hand creams and I also had a $10 off voucher to redeem so I did pretty well! I’m already thinking which hand cream scents I’d like to try next… Strawberry, Wild Rose and Wild Argan Oil oh my!

Let me know if you’ve tried these products and what your favourite scent from The Body Shop is!

Great choices! I love The Body Shop! I have a set of the shea lotion and body wash that I got from Christmas that hasn’t been used yet but I’m traveling very soon so they will get some use. They always have the greatest deals around Christmas. Thanks for sharing! 🙂 Xo

Oooh! Lovely products Chanelle and great use of the promotions!

I do love visiting the Body Shop too, especially when the Christmas range comes in! The hand cream is deceiving, as I find that one of their tubes lasts longer than another brand’s larger size, just because of the fantastic quality! I’ve not tried the body whip before but that’s next on my list now…
